Hawaii in Florida!

I'm all giddy inside. The feeling reminds me of the time we went camping with our church family, and a close family friend's little one exclaimed, "I'm campin' guys!" That same childlike glee is about me as we are preparing to travel with my sister (Roxx) and her family to Florida (thank you to the family staying in our home to take care of our dogs while we are gone!!!). We are going to do some serious beach walking, skim boardin', swimming, sand castle building, reading, veggin' out, and visit loved ones. A visit I am especially looking forward to is with Papa at Choice R Mine. About a week from now he and Mama are going to meet up with us at the Manatees. Take a look at the video above. It will explain my anticipation. These endangered creatures are very special. I know this as I have taught my Manatee unit to various classes more times than I can count. Now I get to swim with them! It will be a day the kids never forget! Another interesting aspect of this trip is many think we are traveling to Florida to see Mickey Mouse and gang. This is not the case. The reason is because we have been trying to get to Hawaii with Roxx and her family for 4+ years to celebrate our 40th birthdays (which have come and gone :0). We've even had had a couple registers for lodging in Hawaii via their time share exchange system, however, each time it came to buy airline tickets the prices were off the charts. So, Roxx called her time share and asked, "Where can we go on the main land that will be sunny?" One option was available: Florida. We took it and the rest is history. Hence, this is our, "Hawaii in Florida," trip. Good times will be had by all!
